Have you ever felt unconfident about the way you stitch?

We all stitch different. Some do cross-country, some stitch by colours and some prefer the parking method. Some care much about the backside and some don't. Some railroad... Well, you've grasped this)
But are there right and wrong ways to stitch? I myself agree with those who say No. What is the purpose of any hobby? Relaxation! And can anyone relax when doing something he actually doesn't like or keeping in mind to do only vertical stitches on the backside? No.
I am totally for the stitching the way you and only you love it. And still I know some tips and techniques can surely make the stitching look brilliantly neat. That's why I'm always eager to explain the techniques or give some advice. If my stitchers find the perfect balance between accurate work and pleasure, I will be more than simply glad!
I've mantioned the railroad method above. Do you know it? Do you use it? If no, I really advice to give it a try! Railroading is not too challenging, but you will be happy with the results. The idea of the method is simple: if you stitch with even number of threads (two, most probably), put the needle between the threads before pushing it through the fabric. Thus your cross stitches will look neat and fine, since the threads will lay next to each other and they won't be twisting.
I hope this small tip will become one of your favourite one!) Wish you beautiful cross stitches!
